Early March 2019
Another blog from yours truly
Been a tad momentous.
In reverse order.. pikkies of spoils from the special schools’ op shop
Drool!
Been a tad hot..we were only getting a sprinkle here and there, but last night was 10 mm. Almost half an inch..worth writing home about eh.
Sprinkles were ORDinary.
Against the shed..was a magnificent Basil. Above, old pikky. Below..current one.
Basil brush in one of the raised vegy gardens..longest surviving, I am here to say..finally succumbed to the ant onslaught..as is now no more. SIGH..the bees and other critters loved it.. all sorts of funny insects having a taste of nectar and suchlike. Nevermind, we have one or three more to fill its shoes.
My cucumber turned into a pumpkin, and is now doing the right honourable thiang, by invading the back lawn..
Three months on and counting..my Honeybun’s retirement.
We had a crook solar inverter replaced..yours truly had great fun setting up the wi-fi..and finally changed the default password on the darn thing. Sends all the data to china..and I can read it back via an app. It didn’t want to get set up by a pc..only the app..on an el-cheapo smart phone..would do. A few extra kilowatts noticeable straight away. All sorts of u-beaut graphs there are too..impressive.
A february blog didn’t make it..was all about replacing a battery in the roof. One of those long life type batteries, drives a fan when the temp gets up. I’ve never heard it running..when I turned the charger on, it blinked..up to charge voltage, then over, then turn off..a few times a second! Crook..and it tested as dead flat..not a freckle of a volt anywhere. Usually there is some voltage somewhere. I suspect it had been well and truly cooked previous to us moving in. Anyway, all going now. MemyselfandI have adjusted charging from the mains hours..it has its own smallee solar panel on the roof. All good..surprising. Electronics have survived, thermostat too. The guy/guyess who installed it included two spares..not a vote of confidence I would have thought. Or just perhaps hard to source.
Oh, got home from Aberglassyn/Newcastle..a relief to cross into sunny Queensland.
Sigh. Been too hot. I’m getting around inside with shirt off..bl hell…cool weather = teeshirt. Warmer = short sleeved shirt, buttoned at the front. Too hot..no shirt. Outside..don’t want to know.
Oh..local pussymeiow..snuck out courtesy garage door open a few inches..local council have declared war on unaccompanied kitties, so we don’t often see this one.
Another oh..this computer has another user..my Honeybun found it too hard to do her Griffith uni course on her red ippy.
ooroo
We do love our pumpkins, and pussy meow.
