My honeybun reckons that the run of ..bad luck or otherwise is more to do with that month being March, than a whole year of..well, having to be constantly on the lookout for things variously described as nefarious or otherwise bekos of it being the year of the dog. Sigh. So, this month not being March anymore should see a definite improvement. Admittedly, we dont have major issues facing us anymore, on account of they were all fixerated last month. Eh. Still, early days yet. This month is still a pup. We are part way through putting LPs to CDs, and have even decided to put a picture from the LP label into the covering case of said CD, so we can know what particular songs are contained within. A bit tricky, on account of just printing out a picture results in one the size of Mt Everest, and is a trifle too big to fit inside a CD cover. And iffen we do both labels on the one page, we get one thats upside down dont we? Well, we do. When we fold it in half, anyway. Into Rich text documents, resizing, and saving the second label upside down, courtesy Irfanview works a treat. Now to get the spacings sorted out.

Pumpkins are well on their way to taking over the back lawn again.

The BBQ hasn’t been overgrown as yet, and we are yet to flash it up to see if the aforesaid pumpkin can handle the heat.

There has been a saying floating around; well, there are lots of them eh, but the one under discussion is..be careful what you wish for. To whit, we now have a cyclone Iris bearing down, playing havoc with FNQ..thats qlderspeak for far north queensland. lots of rain, wind, and big waves to please all you surfing lot out there. Nooo weather type lows around, which..according to the gurus at the Weather Bureau, is the cause of ..the hottest start to April on record..just like summer it is, and with the showers at night to cool everyone off; momentarily only, however. That is the careful what you wish for, only showers at night are a Good Thing. Know a girl called Iris..no doubt she is keeping a low profile whilst her namesake is rampaging around the tropics 🙂

Oh, what was the wish? At the time, she who shall be obeyed was bemoaning the fact that as well as it being so darn hot, it was also overly humid into the bargain. And there was a definite moment when she said..just a few showers at might would be great. So, this is Hewies idea of granting that wish, only trouble is, along with the showers at night, we have a Rampaging Iris as well. And, because of the showers, the humidiy remains up there too….
