Here we are, still a few days b4 we head off home..and we reckon we’re looking forward to getting there…home that is.
Sort of routine established..centred around a pooch of course..so early brekky..him then us ..sometimes a while later on..numerous cups of tea..from our brand spanking new teapot, that came with a bonus strainer under the lid..so its loose leaf for us in a wee whiles. Early morning walkies,
during which we spy out the locals, hopping around, and generally nervous of anything of a canine appearance. Or humanoid, come to that.
Hundred or so yards across a creek looking line of trees, and we usually see the Resident Population. Rest of the day follows..reclining in front of the air-con is the pooches favourite position. Needless to say, time off for us means..a drive around to see the sights. The pooch gets to stay outside in the shade, with oodles of water in various cans, canisters, and now a yoghurt white plakky bucket. Needless to say, the pooches favourite water, which he hangs out for, resides inside. So, the gallon or thereabouts of..probably warmish water outside, albeit in the shade, is royally ignored. The inside water gets slurped up, and then a quizzical look up signifies that the lord and master is ready for his royal water OUT OF THE FRIDGE to be placed into his Indoors bowl. Sigh.
Doesn’t happen that way with me,..doesn’t seem to matter if its out of the tap, apparently its cold enough for a dehydrated puppy.
We have graduated back to the GPS, after one disastrous episode put paid to..relying on the red ippy. Only trouble is, to keep the eyes and notably hands away from it whilst on the move, Mr Plod really has a hard time with this sort of thing. In Canada there seems to be a thousand dollar penalty, (this is mobile phone while driving penalties) here in NSW its $300 or so, but the four points went to five, and then gets doubled over holidays. Only a few minor infractions can really mean an awful lot after one of those eh.
Funny stories..facebook are full of them..there are a few I’ve shared there..
Cheers
