Aussie Post
We are waiting on a parcel..sigh! Not often are we aware that a parcel will be delivered on a particular day to us..usually the info only updates after the darn thing has landed..so to speak. If we send a parcel via Aussie post, then on occasion, we can see that yes, its gotten to Swansea, and is awaiting delivery…then we get another update, and we figure out its in the hands of the post delivery person, on account of its status goes to in transit. Ten or so minutes later, it says..delivered!
Very good!
Naow, the Billisaurus has been known to leave it until the last minute to send a parcel..its a birthday or some such, and we only have a few days leeway. Oh well, better late than never is the catchcry. Except where the honeybun is concerned..didja post that parcel to..insert the recipient…ah! Nope, I’ll do it now.
So off I toddle, having been past the local post orfice a few times already, but without ..aforementioned parcel. Sigh.
So, this last minute thing came to a head t’other day. A parcel landed at the last possible minute on the friday afternoon, didnt it?..well, it did.
The Billisaurus is a tad sick of this last minute stuff, so the next parcel went express. U know, a dollar or so more. He left it until the death knell, and decided to give the express thing a try. MY GOODNESS ME!
Picked up Cleveland post orfice a few minutes later, in transit. Yup. Couple of hours or so later..Mornington po. Ang on, thats tassie! Ah, penny dropping, air freight eh!
bloomin heck! They say next day delivery into selected areas, and Swansea is considered outside the next day thing, but that doesnt stop Aussiepost from doing its darndest to deliver!
Blow me down, by 9am, next day, the status went..awaiting delivery, ‘Swansea, to delivered.
So, that yellow and red satchel is aussiepost shorthand for..get a move on, you know what happened last time sort of thing.
