Black Kitties 3
I lived on the edge of the Brooker ave – main arterial road into Hobart..speed limit from 80 to 60 was not far enough up the road….s’why I thought it not a good spot for kitties..anyway..one afternoon..these two blessed cats were sitting on the footpath..sigh..cars whizzing past. C’mon you two up here..puss puss puss kitty kitty kitty So, what happens? They go the other way. Rebel goes flat out over the road to a cherry tree in the traffic island, black megs bringing up the rear. Straight in front of two cars..both put their anchors on..Rebel was fine, black megs was too..about two yards shorter in a pinch, black megs..scraped through..god! Rebel headed up into the thinner branches of aforesaid cherry tree. Branches big enough to support one cat I would have thought..two though. So here we have two black blobs hanging out over the Brooker; bouncing up and down..cars..well slowing down a bit! So Rebel got bored. Dad still had his heart in his mouth..it having sunk in that there wasn’t much he could do about this..situation. All I could do was watch eh. Perhaps they were remembering the Carpet Affair, and decided that payback was overdue…So, another two cars approaching..two more four wheel drifts as these two went back the same way they had come..b’hell!
