Bit the worse for wear! (picture to left,)
One project completed..although the Billisaurus would like to add some finishing touches…
Honeybuns’ pressy has been received..although she didn’t want to put it together, seeing as it was a kit from Kogan..and there was heard mutters about..granmas cricket bat. So, here it is in all its glory.
Plus unassembled on the kitchen table…where else I hear you say.
The framework which evolved from a climbing rose scaffold into a support mechanism for a bird feeding device, and which had seen betterer days, has been retired to the WPB…or perhaps the wheelie bin would be a better description. On account of..waste paper basket also has evolved these days…more like a general purpose receptacle for unspecified sundry contents surplus to requirements device. If you think that that betrays military and public service background..then you’re right! An even bigger waste of time, as more befits the public service, would be to choose different words, and order them around so that their initials spell something rooly klever. Anyway..
Vegy garden is suffering due to lack of rain..More zucchinis have been stuck in to replace crook silver beet..they were meant to be squashes..but thats another story.
Seeing as a very plump possum was spotted, on top of the possum box, happily munching on an apple that I at least thought that only a fruit bat could reach, the fruit bat fruit delivery mechanism has been modified again.
Blue rope meets the lighter coloured rope, and has a spike attached, with which to pierce said bit of fruit, so it will dangle Out Of Reach Of Most Ordinary Critters! I really need a thing/camera, that would photograph these things happening in complete darkness…no doubt over the last few months there would be very satisfying pikkies to be had.
Last weekend, we went to Kalbar, for their hay bale festival.
Bit unnerving to be amongst a crowd again…their marshals were at the top of main street looking a tad forlorn. We came from where we had parked..would have been hard to police all the ways the great unwashed could take to get into town. As always, we hold our breaths, wait fourteen days, and see if anything dreadful made its appearance On The Day.
Last but not least, we join the world holding its breath on account of voting in America coming up, news from there never seems to get betterer..millions have voted ahead of time, as we will do shortly, and we resolve not to turn on the tvnews for at least a month, when all the fuss should have died down.
Yep yep yep, Marie…and the world is Still holding its breath…not helped by all the headlines, forecasting doom and gloom eh. Cheers
