Farmboy 4
I did some work here and there for Vinnies..involving, amongst other things, getting items ready for sale. They had to look ok..no-one would be willing to buy things with..two tone paint, for example. If I managed to get a television working..the colour variety would fetch Vinnies $100 or so..well worth a bit of tinkering!
A few years down the track, working on farms in western Australia..the cockies usually did any repair work. At the school, it was up to me, as head gardener..actually, the Only gardener.heh..but still, things had to look right. no two tone paint jobs..
Moving to Queensland. It is farmboy heaven. Lots of things break, wear out, or are superseded. Nobody wants to pay more for a repair than the cost of a new bit of gear. Why pay someone to do a repair job, if there’s a Someone available, who, for the cost of materials only, is quite happy to Fix Things. I think I’ve grown out of the two tone paint job phase….
This was left outside our old tanderra street address during the move, without an axle or wheels. Suitable metal bar..trifle long..was purchased. holes drilled for split pins to stop the wheels falling off. Wheels purchased turned out to be a bit wide, so washers are used to stop the wheels from rubbing on the frame.
Another long suffering trolley. another contraption that doesn’t like too much weight. right hand wheel is newish. Bottom plate is twisted. Top right of the bottom plate is a steel plate, designed to anchor that side of the plate on the trolley. Numerous screws are used here and there.

Great photos, Sandy, aren’t they?! For the most part, with a mobile phone, and i am surprised that the quality is so good…..and there probably is one or two from the D60! great camera, by the way. Thanks again!
