Been over a month eh. All Sorts of things have been happening,
Amongst them being usual stuff like..more arguments with wordpress..
Trip to Melbourne, where we sat enthralled at a couple of newishly weds, singing away on stage, doing their part of Handel’s Messiah.

Look who we found here!

Stayed close handy to the chapel where we saw the performance.
First church I’ve been to in quite a while..and the seats were the pews, all arranged up before ..alters and suchlike. Catholic..I’d imagine that the reason for nooo cushions to sit upon would be something like..can’t let the blighters forget they’re in a church, ostensibly to worship, and getting comfortable is Not Part Of It At All -At All.
There for a brief moment, the conductor changed his spots, and let our two do a cappella. Was Delightful. Bit different to having music drown everything out for a change.
Took a bloke back to Sishongke in Hobart, it did, complete with rush of memory that threatened to overwhelm me for a moment….Singing away, over the hall from the Sopranos, in the Bass section, on account of there weren’t enough of the sods, so we swelled the numbers..me being in between bass and tenor, and we didn’t have a section called baritone. Got awfully quiet down low, and we were told that Guinness helped a great deal! Gave it a nudge here and there.
Was great meeting the newly weds, young Elisa for the first time. Was informed that Australia was a bit different to cold and foggy Germany,and she’d like to/will come out again!

Traffic in Melbourne..hadn’t changed, but I am reliably informed that a certain Honeybun won’t complain about Brisbane traffic ever again.
Think we’d like a spot of German weather right now..seeing as that fires rage up and down the coast, sirens and firetrucks mercifully far away, but that doesn’t stop the news crews from reminding us of what was going on, how many houses totalled, plus the occasional video of dense smoke,fire/victims/talking heads abounding.
Doesn’t help that family members are down that way, unable to get to work, coping with smoke so dense, that driving is an issue. People in face-masks.
Not good.

This lot..water dragon no less..inhabit everywhere up here..they weren’t so skittish in this nursery!
