Stranger alert.
Stranger alert..gee, sounds ominous!
But, gentle reader, do not scoff or call a man a fool. Bucking porous plaster off was passtime to that mule..apologies to the Banjo..although not really!
So. Unknown plant appears in the garden. Whaddyudo..or who do you call?
Nope, not them either. We observe. Wasnt a ..um..nefarious plant, intoxicating properties, so worth it to watch.
It grew in the lime tree pot. Its the tall one in the first pikky..the lime is the bottom half. First thought..its grown from the root-stock. Ah well, see what it turns into.
Most unexpected was the result. Little white flowers sort of looked familiar, then little green fruit…then an AHA moment! A blessed capsicum! Never have I seen such an awesome speciman ! A meter tall if its an inch, with myriads of fruit appearing, left right and centre. Not stunted or discoloured. The ants love it, of course, they infest everything that they aren’t physically excluded from..darn things, but they haven’t managed to do much to it so far. All I have to do is to keep the waterbath at the base of the whole affair topped up, and go on an ant rampage here and there. Leaves touch a wall, and its on for young and old. Other pikky.. the usual capsicum around here..well, our back yard at least..short, stunted, not very energetic, that sort of thing. This one..well, lets say that we are saving one capsicum fruit(?) for its seed.
